We are after passionate, gifted and creative educators with skills in computer games development to join our rapidly expanding team to teach on our Games provision. You will have the skills to work in at least one or more of the following areas – Character and Environmental Animation using appropriate techniques, producing and implementing audio into an engine environment, programming in Industry standard languages, Q/A Testing or Design Production and Management, 3D modelling. Depending upon your skills you will deliver lessons in a range of areas such as working with Industry Standard Game Engines, Asset Production and Pipeline Processes, Games Design, 3D Modelling, App Production for a multitude of devices, and User Interface Design including Audio synchronization.
You will have industry related skills and be a great team player along with some of the following:
- Experience and expertise in using the Unreal Engine & Unity game engine, alongside experience in C# to create object orientated games
- Experience and expertise in designing User Interface elements for games using the Unreal Engine, incorporating accessibility and usability considerations
- Experience or knowledge of game asset creation using software such as Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, 3DSMax, Mudbox and After Effects
- Understanding and knowledge of 3D Modelling and animation
- Experience of App Production across a range of platforms and devices
- Understanding of audio implementation and workflow into Unreal & Unity
- Understanding of graphical workflow within the games industry
From planning lessons and preparing resources for designated programmes and modules to delivering enriching sessions and activities, and supporting students through group and individual tutorials, our tutors are at the heart of the student experience.
It’s essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. You will also be educated to degree level and hold a recognised teaching qualification, or be prepared to study for one. You will have some knowledge or experience of teaching at further and/or higher education.
