Level 2 Games Course Leader (CMG/1292)
We are looking for experienced creative educators to join our team of course leaders within our L2 Digital Games provision. Our course leaders are at the core of the student experience and we want you to join our team to deliver and develop our FE Level 2 Games curriculum.
You will take responsibility for the management of our current provision, including coordinating resources and staffing, managing student achievement, and developing industry links and course marketing. You will have good team building skills and the ability to manage a course team with diverse skill sets.
If you are a passionate educator and would relish the opportunity to deliver and plan a unique and engaging curriculum and have some of the expertise outlined below then we are keen to meet you.
You will have skills and knowledge in some or all of the following:
- An awareness of historical and contemporary art, design and media practice relevant to L2 delivery.
- Some experience of art, design and media techniques relevant to L2 delivery.
- Some experience in 2D design software relevant to L2 Games, for example Photoshop, Illustrator.
- An awareness or experience of Digital Animation practice and techniques, for example Gamemaker.
Our course leaders are at the heart of our education management team so applicants should have some experience of leading people and developing curriculum within an education environment.
It’s essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. You will also have experience of teaching and/or managing in further education. You will also be educated to degree level and will hold a recognised teaching qualification. Experience in behaviour management, quality cycles and BTEC qualifications is essential. You will also complete Internal Moderation, which will be externally assessed. A good understanding of the support needs of Level 2 Students in particular is also desirable.
