We have recently completed an exciting campus transformation, part of a £12m development programme.
Due to our continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our IT department as a Systems Administrator. As IT Systems Administrator you will create, maintain and support the entire infrastructure for the group. This will include servers, networking, storage, firewalls and phone systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of LAN/WAN and the development of new machines across the site using predominantly Microsoft technologies. You will provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to staff, students and where necessary clients.
Highly customer focused you will have extensive knowledge of Windows Servers plus Active Directory, LAN/WAN’s (including Firewalls), web/email filtering and Exchange 2010-2013. You will be proficient at creating and maintaining appropriate backup procedures. You will also have worked with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization, SAN/NAS/DAS Storage systems, switches and routers, VOIP/IP PBX systems and remotely supported VPNs.
You will enjoy working in a team but will also be comfortable working on your own initiative. You will have strong problem solving, prioritisation and communication skills and have the ability to explain problems and solutions clearly to non-technical users.
