Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (CICT) is a forward thinking centre of learning, home to the very best technology, studios, equipment and industry-connected tutors. Now in our 25th year, we provide a vibrant and professional learning environment for over 1700 further and higher education students studying for careers in the creative industries. CICT is part of the Confetti Media Group, which is owned by Nottingham Trent University increasing the opportunities for growth and success over the coming years.
T levels are a new technical based vocational qualification that includes a work placement element for each student taking part. CICT is looking to recruit a part time Work Placement Manager to support industry placement opportunities for our Further Education students undertaking the T level pilot scheme. This role will be part time for approximately 2.5 days a week, to be negotiated on the appointment of the successful applicant.
This exciting role requires the successful applicant to network and liaise with creative industry businesses, explaining how T Levels operate and securing placement opportunities for our students. You will work closely with local employers to identify and create industry relevant placements which develop students’ employability skills and match these opportunities to the needs of our FE students. Once secured, you will project manage multiple placements and coordinate both partners and students resulting in our students successfully completing their industry placement.
You would be required to work independently and have the ability to initiate and manage multiple projects. Exceptional networking and communication skills both verbal and written are essential, along with the ability to project manage and meet targets. Owing to the nature of placements, some work may take place outside the normal contractual hours and travel to external locations will be required.
