TV and Film Production Tutor

We are after a passionate, gifted and creative tutor to teach across our television and film level 2 and level 3 provision. You will have clear and innovative ideas around teaching and learning and a clear understanding of the current landscape for film, television and content creation.

The experience, skills and knowledge required for this role are:

  • An understanding of different moving image genres such as drama, factual programming, music video and corporate video production and their associated production processes.
  • An understanding of the practice of shooting both on location and in a studio environment.
  • A detailed understanding of production management processes for film and television.
  • An ability to use a range of digital video cameras and supporting grip equipment.
  • A knowledge and understanding of lighting techniques.
  • Appropriate health and safety practices.
  • A familiarity with postproduction software packages such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
  • Experience in the operation of television studio equipment

From planning lessons and preparing resources for designated programmes and modules to delivering enriching sessions and activities, and supporting students through group and individual tutorials, our tutors are at the heart of the student experience.

It’s essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. You will have experience of teaching at further education. You will also be educated to degree level and preferably hold a recognised teaching qualification.
