Launched in 2022, Confetti X is a multi-million pound dedicated esports and interactive live events production centre. Based in Nottingham, the 14,000 sqft complex brings together years of expertise in live events, content creation, streaming and competitive gaming.
Building on the region’s sporting heritage – with key stadia devoted to cricket, football, ice-hockey and ice-skating – Confetti X includes a 100-seater 4,000 sqft multi-event venue which plays host to amateur and professional esports tournaments.
With strong links to industry, including the Global Esports Federation and GGTech Entertainment, the venue has already hosted the qualifying rounds of the inaugural Commonwealth Esports Championships 2022 and the Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Masters 2023 Live Finals – the first-ever international university esports event to be held in the UK.
Fast becoming a major UK hub for emerging technologies, the leading edge facilities include a high spec broadcast gallery with full audio and vision mixing, motion graphics, lighting and virtual environmental control. The complex comes equipped with virtual production studio capabilities, a game-changing new technology for the creative and entertainment industries pioneered in hit TV shows like The Mandalorian, and box office blockbusters, including The Lion King and Avatar 2.
Developed in collaboration with leading technology partners, including Ross Video, Disguise, Brompton Technology, and Reidel, Confetti X is elevating broadcast production in esports through tech integration, setting a high broadcast standard for grassroots esports. In November 2023, Confetti X was chosen to host BBC Children In Need’s first-ever esports livestream. Part of the charity’s new Game to Give activation and as seen on national BBC television and TikTok, Game On! For BBC Children In Need helped to raise £33.5million for young people across the country.
A flexible space available for commercial hire, the venue has also hosted a BBC screening of Vicky McClure’s Our Dementia Choir, and a music masterclass with the multi-award winning, internationally acclaimed artist, producer, songwriter, and musician, Fraser T Smith.
Part of our Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies teaching campus in Nottingham, Confetti X is the next stage in the Group’s ambitious plans to generate future-proof creative industry career opportunities.
