The recruitment process – what you can expect

If you’re looking to apply for a position within the Confetti Media Group, you can expect to go through three main recruitment stages.

Once you have found a job that you think suits your skills and experience, you will need to make an online application via our careers website. The online application form will prompt you to complete information relating to your current and past employment and provide further evidence to support your application.

Depending on the role that you are applying for, there may be specific job related questions that will help us determine your suitability for the position. In addition to completing the form, there will be the opportunity for you to upload a CV and covering letter and any other relevant supporting documents. Please note CV’s alone, will not be accepted without a completed application form.

Your application will be reviewed against the essential and desirable criteria of the position you have applied for. If successful, you will be invited to attend a selection event.

Depending on the post, you may be asked to do a presentation, competency based interview, individual or group tasks. You may also be asked to take part in an activity relevant to the post, for example a micro-teach for an academic role, a trial shift for a bar position or admin task for a central support post. You will receive full details of what the selection process will entail to ensure you can fully prepare.

CMG is committed to promoting equal opportunities, and as such do not discriminate on the grounds of disability. All reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate any adjustments required to allow all candidates to attend our recruitment events.

Once all stages of the recruitment and selection process have been scored and assessed, we will contact you to notify the outcome of your application.

If successful, we will arrange a full induction program ready for your start date. There will also be some mandatory pre-employment checks that we are required to complete. Including an enhanced DBS check, taking up references and verification of your right to work in the UK. Depending on the role applied for, we may also require copies of relevant qualifications.

If you are not successful, you will be notified and offered the opportunity to gain feedback from the process. If you are unsuccessful, please do not let this deter you from applying for other jobs with us again in the future.
